Elden Ring: German RTA Player Achieves Flawless No-Death Speedrun in Just Two and a Half Hours!

Many players are currently deep into "Elden Ring," dedicating countless hours to its vast and sprawling world. While the game's immense scope initially suggested a challenging environment for Speed Runs, German RTA player "Niko Belic" has defied expectations, completing "Elden Ring" in a mere two and a half hours – and without a single death.

Niko Belic is no stranger to speedrunning, having previously conquered titles like "Surgeon Simulator 2," the notoriously difficult 2D action-shooter "Cuphead," and the recently released martial arts action game "Sifu." This time, he took on the immensely popular "Elden Ring," not only aiming for a speedrun but also a flawless, no-death completion – a feat any Souls-like veteran knows is incredibly challenging.

Starting as a Vagabond, Niko Belic strategically used in-game warp gates early on to reach the "Farum Greatbridge," an area typically accessed much later. At the "Lenne's Rise" tower, a popular Rune farming spot known for its rolling giant ball, he cleverly exploited enemy AI to trick the "Night's Cavalry" boss into falling off a cliff (around the 13:30 mark in the video), netting him a crucial 42,000 Runes. He then prioritized strength, raising it to 30, and scoured various tunnels for Smithing Stones to upgrade his starting Longsword to +15, establishing a solid foundational combat power.

Around the 45-minute mark, Niko Belic confronted the first major boss, Margit, the Fell Omen. He then proceeded through the standard progression, facing Godrick the Grafted, Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, exploring the Altus Plateau, and eventually reaching Leyndell, Royal Capital. While his run was largely flawless, it wasn't without its close calls. During his initial encounter with a trapped chest that warped him to the Sellia Crystal Tunnel, tracking projectiles from the white worm-like enemies nearly ended his run. Even against bosses, he sustained damage, but fortunately, he managed to overcome every challenge.

Ultimately, Niko Belic defeated the Elden Beast, concluding his run at approximately 2:34:23 with a character level of 91. This was an exceptionally impressive completion of the challenge. While not everyone can replicate his high level of skill, his boss strategies offer valuable insights for other players, and those interested should definitely check out his video.

Niko Belic himself noted that "Elden Ring's" later bosses are tougher compared to "Dark Souls 3," contributing to the longer run time. He also expressed confidence that even more skilled players will emerge to shave off another hour or so from his record. It seems we can anticipate many new records in the future.
