Shanghai-based statue manufacturer Infinity Studio, in collaboration with Penguin Toys, is following up their "Master Forge" series Legolas statue from the epic fantasy film series "The Lord of the Rings" with a second character: a 1/2 scale full-body statue of Gandalf! This impressive piece will be released in both Ultimate and Premium versions, with pre-orders slated to open in May 2022.
This statue is inspired by the iconic "You Shall Not Pass!" scene from "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring," standing at an astonishing 156 cm (approximately 61.4 inches) tall. It perfectly recreates Gandalf the Grey, staff in hand and wielding the sword Glamdring, with both arms raised in a defiant shout, capturing his unwavering resolve to protect his companions at all costs. His attire and accessories are meticulously crafted from a mix of real fabric, linen, and artificial leather, ensuring a high degree of realism. The elaborate base features the fiery depths of Udûn, a sculpted head of the Balrog of Moria, and a nameplate with the film's title. Integrated breathing light effects further enhance the dramatic presence of this Gandalf statue.
▼ The head sculpt for the Ultimate version is crafted from fade-resistant, deformation-resistant platinum silicone and features hand-woven high-temperature synthetic gray hair and beard. The intricate skin textures, subtle shading, and three-dimensional contours are exceptionally rendered.
