American toy company SUPER7 today revealed new additions to its Toho ULTIMATES! action figure line, featuring "Godzilla" and Biollante from the 1989 kaiju film "Godzilla vs. Biollante." In "Godzilla vs. Biollante," after Godzilla fell into Mt. Mihara, Japan enjoyed a period of peace. However, the JSDF continued developing weapons against Godzilla, including the Anti-Nuclear Bacteria (ANB), and recovered and modified the remnants of the previous superweapon, Super X, to design the new remote-controlled drone, Super X2. Meanwhile, genetic engineering authority Dr. Genichiro Shiragami, desperate to save a plant that combined his deceased daughter's cells with rose cells, joined the ANB project. He mixed Godzilla cells into the plant, which unexpectedly gave birth to the immortal plant monster, Biollante.
