Following the highly anticipated "Yueji Mingke," leading Japanese figure manufacturer Good Smile Company (GSC) is set to release the second entry in its innovative "Illustration Revelation" series: the non-scale "Illustration Revelation Bride of the Far Shore." This stunning piece, a collaboration with Japanese illustrator Fujiwara, is priced at 66,000 JPY and is slated for a December 2023 release!
The "Illustration Revelation" series is a groundbreaking new line of figures dedicated to transforming two-dimensional illustrations into three-dimensional "Revelations." Through the masterful hands of highly skilled sculptors with exceptional technical and compositional abilities, the series meticulously recreates the intricate worldviews depicted in artists' illustrations, elevating their charm and uniqueness to deliver the ultimate figure experience.
The second release, the "Illustration Revelation Bride of the Far Shore" non-scale figure, brings to life the main visual from popular Japanese illustrator Fujiwara's (@藤ちょこ-fuzichoco-) 2020 solo exhibition, "SAIGENKYO." Standing approximately 37 cm tall, the figure beautifully captures the bride leaning gracefully in the ethereal world of the far shore. She is adorned in a luxurious and elegant white traditional Japanese wedding kimono (shiromuku), holding a red paper umbrella, surrounded by a magnificent blooming cherry blossom tree. The scene is further enhanced by flowing silk ribbons and lanterns swaying in the breeze, creating a breathtaking tableau. Every intricate detail, from the opulent fabrics to the delicate lanterns, has been faithfully reproduced!
The transparent "Wata-boshi" (traditional Japanese wedding hood) is detachable.
