Hong Kong-based sculptor Figurama Collectors recently announced two new additions to their "Elite Bust" series from "Amon: Apocalypse of Devilman": the Devilman and Amon busts. "Amon: Apocalypse of Devilman" is the third OVA in the Devilman series. After Ryo Asuka exposed Akira Fudo's identity as Devilman, the already chaotic world plunged further into madness. Miki Makimura and Taro Makimura were brutally murdered by a mob. When Akira Fudo arrived, he found the Makimura home engulfed in flames and Miki gone. Utterly disillusioned with humanity, Akira transformed into Devilman and unleashed a bloody rampage. Amon, residing within Akira, fully awakened shortly after, setting the stage for a climactic battle between Devilman and Amon for ultimate control.
Standing approximately 31 cm tall, this piece perfectly captures Amon, the calamitous warrior of the demon tribe, in his imposing on-screen appearance. His physique, even more muscular than Devilman's, is meticulously sculpted, with his chest and abdominal muscles rendered with exceptional depth through masterful paintwork and shading. The thick, heavy black fur extending from his head to his shoulders creates a striking visual. The head sculpt, featuring bared, sharp fangs and an expression that seems both a roar of rage and a hint of mockery, is particularly outstanding. The delicate textures and gradient colors on the small wings on either side convey a lifelike, organic feel. The base, like the Devilman bust, is a menacing combination of skulls, blood, and shattered rock, creating an overall ferocious aesthetic.
