Following the first release, Ryujinmaru, in Sentinel's (株式会社千値練) popular robot action figure line, "METAMOR-FORCE," the long-awaited second entry from "Mashin Hero Wataru," "Jakomaru," has finally been officially announced for a September 2022 release. Additionally, the "Jakomaru Exclusive Steel Armor Parts" enhancement set was also revealed!
Jakomaru is the transformable Mashin piloted by Wataru Ikusabe's original rival, "Toraoh." Its core is the soul of a tiger guarding the entrance to Mount Tenkai. It wields the Tiger Sword and Tiger Shield, capable of unleashing attacks like the Tiger Sword Storm and Tiger Beam. It even possesses a transformation mechanism similar to Kujinmaru, allowing it to convert into a four-legged "Tiger Form," boasting excellent flight speed and defense, with combat capabilities rivaling Ryujinmaru.
The "METAMOR-FORCE Jakomaru" is constructed from a composite of materials including ABS, PVC, and die-cast parts, faithfully capturing the refined design of the original while incorporating intricate, sharp details and a heavy, metallic paint finish. The head also features a built-in LED light-up gimmick, allowing its eyes to glow, showcasing a menacing and powerful aesthetic.
The entire body boasts extensive articulation, including individual finger joints, wings, tail, limbs, and torso. The fully articulated hands have been improved based on feedback from the previous Ryujinmaru release, with added grooves to enhance grip strength when holding the sword. In addition to posing Jakomaru in dynamic combat stances with its "Tiger Sword" and "Tiger Shield" armaments, a clear red version of the head antenna is also included, replicating the glowing effect when performing its special move, the "Tiger Beam."
Furthermore, the "METAMOR-FORCE Jakomaru" features a complete transformation gimmick, allowing it to convert from Mashin Form to Tiger Form without the need for part swapping. This includes the head retracting into the body, the rear legs transforming, and the front leg hands retracting while the tiger claws deploy. The tiger head's mouth can also open to reveal internal cannon structures, allowing for dynamic running and flying poses thanks to its flexible articulation!
