Japanese capsule toy manufacturer State of the Art (SO-TA / 株式会社SO-TA) is expanding its popular 1/1 scale realistic creature series. Following successful releases like the Hercules Beetle, Gecko, and Frog, they are now launching the new "Animalie Collection 1/1 Dung Beetle" capsule toys! This series features four different types, each priced at 500 JPY, and is slated for release in late July 2022.
The fourth installment, the "Animalie Collection 1/1 Dung Beetle" capsule toys, spotlights the fascinating dung beetle, known for feeding on animal droppings. Supervised by Keiki Fukui, Japan's leading expert in specimen creation and collection, these figures are crafted in realistic 1/1 scale. They even come with parts to assemble and pose the beetle pushing its iconic dung ball with its hind legs! The lineup features four highly detailed and realistically painted types: the Black Dung Beetle, Green Copper Dung Beetle, Blue Horned Dung Beetle, and Green Horned Dung Beetle.
