TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectibles division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS, today announced the third release in its next-generation action figure series, "NXEDGE STYLE," featuring sharp designs and unique proportions. The latest addition is "Byakko Ryujinmaru" from the classic anime "Chou Mashin Hero Wataru," slated for an August 2022 release.
Appearing in "Chou Mashin Hero Wataru," Ryujinmaru inherits the spirit of the heroic Ryujinmaru who saved ancient Soukaizan. He is an incarnation of the "Golden Dragon," one of Soukaizan's Seven Dragon Gods. By acquiring Sacred Magatama from various world layers, Ryujinmaru can undergo a "Super Power Transformation," gaining new appearances and abilities. This new "Byakko Ryujinmaru" figure represents the form achieved by harnessing the power of the Fifth World Layer's Sacred God, "Ice Fang Byakko," granting him the ability to freely manipulate ice.
The "Byakko Ryujinmaru" figure maintains the series' signature style with multiple points of articulation. Its sharp sculpting accurately reproduces distinctive features like the massive shoulder claws, icicle tail, and the rapier-like Touryuken. The figure boasts a glossy blue finish and metallic gold accents. In addition to posing with his special move, "Byakko Touryuken," collectors can also attach the giant shoulder claws to his hands to recreate another signature attack, "Byakko Hyogaken."
This release also includes the "Raishin Helmet," an equipment piece imbued with the power of the Sixth World Layer's Sacred God, "Thunder Ginrou." This helmet can be swapped onto Byakko Ryujinmaru's head, allowing fans to recreate his appearance when combining the powers of ice and thunder to unleash devastating special moves like "Byakko Rairyuken" and "Hyoga Rairyuken!"
