Bandai Spirits' Tamashii Nations collector's division recently officially unveiled a brand new blind box figure series, "TAMASHII NATIONS BOX." The inaugural release will be themed around the immensely popular "SD Ultraman" series, which captivated fans throughout the 1980s and 1990s. This new collection, titled "Ultraman ARTlized," brings these classic designs to life with modern sculpting techniques and is slated for an October 2022 release.
For "Ultraman ARTlized," Tamashii Nations enlisted the original designer behind the "SD Ultraman" aesthetic, Kouji Yokoi. Based on his newly supervised illustrations, these figures bring the adorable, super-deformed Ultraman designs into three dimensions. The lineup spans various generations, featuring 8 Ultraman heroes from classic to modern eras, including Ultraman, Taro, Tiga, Mebius, Zero, Taiga, Zett, and Trigger, plus one secret chase figure.

Each Ultraman figure stands approximately 8 cm tall. They boast intricate detailing with clear parts and metallic paint applications, while transparent effect parts are also included to replicate the iconic giant transformation sequences from the show. The super-deformed styling perfectly captures the series' classic transformation scenes, faithfully recreating the distinctive forced perspective effect with an oversized right hand!
