Japanese toy manufacturer TAKARA TOMY, known for its sci-fi robot transforming and combining toy series "Diaclone," recently announced the upcoming release of its latest product, the "DA-92 Powered Convoy," scheduled for September 2022.
The "Powered Convoy," officially designated as POWERED CONVOY＜VM-S＞, represents the ultimate form in the Battle Convoy V series. It's created by the combination of the humanoid combat machine Battle Convoy V-MAX and the stealth-equipped combat machine Powered Grater＜V-SHADOW＞. Beyond its heavily armed robot mode, it can also separate into two high-mobility machines, leveraging its stealth capabilities to unleash overwhelming combat power.
The "DA-92 Powered Convoy" set includes both the Battle Convoy V-MAX and the Powered Grater＜V-SHADOW＞ units. The Battle Convoy V-MAX maintains the specifications of previously released versions, capable of transforming from its robot mode into a flight combat machine ＜MAX-01＞, a ground combat machine ＜MAX-02＞, and a Multi-Attack Vehicle (M.A.V.).
Similarly, the jet-black POWERED GRATER＜V-SHADOW＞ is designed to separate and combine into various forms, including the flight armored machine ＜GRATER01＞, ground armored machine ＜GRATER02＞, and other Mech Machines. This set offers an incredible variety of units and play patterns!
Once both units combine, they form the imposing "Powered Convoy," a massive machine bristling with heavy weaponry. It can also wield the DRONE WEAPON-01, a sword-type armament equipped with multiple functions for cutting, bombardment, and defense. Furthermore, the combined form can separate and reconfigure into enhanced modes such as the enhanced flight machine ＜POWERED MAX-01＞, enhanced ground machine ＜POWERED MAX-02＞, and an enhanced Multi-Attack Vehicle (M.A.V.).
The set also includes a "Diaclone Member Ver.2.0" figure. Standing 3 cm tall, this pilot figure features 10 points of articulation across its head, arms, waist, and legs. Magnets embedded in its feet allow it to be securely placed within the cockpits of various machines.
