Shanghai-based statue manufacturer Infinity Studio, in collaboration with Penguin Toys, officially unveiled their latest product yesterday (the 7th): a 1/1 scale bust of Sauron from the epic fantasy masterpiece "The Lord of the Rings"! This piece is limited to just 99 units worldwide and is expected to ship in Q4 2022.
Sauron, the primary antagonist of "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, makes his imposing physical appearance in the prologue of "The Fellowship of the Ring." During this time, King Elendil of Men and High King Gil-galad of the Noldor Elves formed the Last Alliance of Elves and Men, marching into Mordor. They swiftly defeated Mordor's Orc armies, but when Sauron, wearing the One Ring, personally entered the fray, the tide of battle immediately turned. Elendil was struck down and killed by Sauron's mace. However, in a critical moment, Elendil's son, Isildur, used a shard of his father's sword to sever the finger on Sauron's hand that bore the Ring, leading to Sauron's physical demise and securing victory.
This piece meticulously recreates the formidable physique of the Dark Lord Sauron. Though it is a bust, it stands at an astonishing 175 cm (approximately 68.9 inches) tall. Crafted from a combination of materials including fiberglass, polystone, and fabric, it faithfully reproduces his intensely intimidating silver heavy armor. The intricate details, such as the numerous spikes, sharp edges, and the textures on his helmet and armor, are all exquisitely rendered. The One Ring, worn on his right index finger, also features its glowing inscription (equipped with LED light-up functionality), creating an overall visual effect that proudly displays his immense power – truly epic!
