SQUARE ENIX, a leading Japanese game developer, is re-releasing the "PLAY ARTS Kai Sora ver.2" action figure, based on the popular RPG series "Kingdom Hearts III," as part of their high-quality 1/6 scale "PLAY ARTS Kai" line. Both a standard and DX edition are set to launch in Japan on May 31, 2023.
Developed by SQUARE ENIX, the "Kingdom Hearts" series stars Sora, a cheerful boy from Destiny Islands whose name comes from the Japanese word for sky (sora). He possesses a pure heart, a strong sense of justice, and an unwavering spirit. Alongside his close friends Riku and Kairi, he dreams of venturing beyond their island to explore the wider world.
"Kingdom Hearts III," set across various Disney worlds, introduced new Pixar characters, with Sora, Goofy, and Donald Duck embarking on adventures in the "Toy Story" world, undergoing significant growth as they battle evil forces.
The "PLAY ARTS Kai Sora ver.2" action figure makes its return with an entirely new sculpt, meticulously recreating Sora's signature spiky brown hair and blue eyes with vibrant, detailed coloring. His facial expressions are more refined, perfectly capturing his cheerful in-game smile. Impressive details include the crown necklace around his neck and his intricately designed outfit. The figure also comes with multiple interchangeable hand parts, allowing for dynamic battle poses from the game.
