Square Enix is bringing back a fan-favorite character with an all-new sculpt in its premium 1/6 scale articulated figure series, Play Arts Kai. Get ready for the "Play Arts Kai Riku" from the hit RPG "Kingdom Hearts III," available in both a Standard and a DX Edition. Both versions are scheduled to launch in Japan on June 30, 2023.
A main character throughout the "Kingdom Hearts" saga, Riku started as a resident of the peaceful Destiny Islands alongside his friends Sora and Kairi. His intense curiosity about the unknown world beyond their shores inadvertently led to the Heartless destroying their home. In his quest to save Kairi, Riku embraced the power of darkness, being corrupted and even assisting Disney villains against Sora. Ultimately, he chose the "road to dawn," fighting his way back to the light to reunite with his friends.
This all-new "Play Arts Kai Riku" figure perfectly captures his appearance in "Kingdom Hearts III." The sculpt and paintwork have been refined, featuring more delicate textures in his hair and realistic skin tones. The sharp details in his determined facial features, along with the intricate folds and zippers of his outfit, are exceptionally rendered. The figure comes with his "Brave Heart" Keyblade and a set of interchangeable hands to recreate a wide variety of scenes.
