Hong Kong toy brand ACTION TOYS, known for its popular "MINI ACTION" and "MINI DEFORMED" robot toy lines, is set to release a new articulated figure of the iconic protagonist robot, Mazinger Z, from the classic anime "Mazinger Z" as part of its "MINI ACTION" series! The figure is slated for a Q3 2022 release.
Created by the renowned manga artist Go Nagai, "Mazinger Z" (マジンガーＺ) is a beloved work that holds cherished childhood memories for many. The series first debuted in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in February 1972, followed by its anime adaptation hitting television screens in October of the same year. It garnered immense acclaim during its broadcasts worldwide, achieving an astonishing 80% viewership in European countries like Spain and Italy—a testament to its enduring appeal (Spain even boasts a large Mazinger Z statue).
The "MINI ACTION" series is characterized by its convenient, playable size, typically around 15cm tall, offering excellent articulation. This particular MINI ACTION Mazinger Z figure faithfully captures the original anime's design, featuring clean lines and its signature black, white, and blue color scheme.
