Taiwanese toy manufacturer Beast Kingdom, under its exquisite "Master Craft" statue series, announced yesterday (the 12th) a new diorama statue from SNK's classic video game "Metal Slug 3": the "Metal Slug: Super Vehicle-001"! This highly anticipated piece is scheduled for a Q1 2023 release.
Beyond the intense bullet-hell action and exaggerated, absurd elements, one of the most captivating aspects of the classic "Metal Slug" shooting game series is the thrill of piloting various vehicles for exhilarating combat. The tank featured in this release is the iconic "Metal Slug: Super Vehicle-001," a high-performance compact tank developed by the Regular Army. It boasts agile movement, capable of traversing diverse terrains, and is armed with a powerful cannon, making it incredibly satisfying to control. It's undoubtedly one of the most popular vehicles in the entire "Metal Slug" series.
Standing approximately 35 cm tall, this Master Craft piece captures the SV-001 traversing a destroyed bridge. The tank's distinctive design is meticulously sculpted with intricate craftsmanship; the grayish-white chassis, exaggerated treads, and cannon muzzle are all faithfully recreated. The exquisite gradient paintwork also delivers an impressive finish. Adding to the fun, it can be displayed with 3D-rendered in-game elements like the "IN" sign, striped briefs, and the R-Rocket Launcher, evoking a strong sense of nostalgia! Furthermore, the statue features LED light-up functions in the street lamp and base, which is a fantastic touch!
