Bandai's GASHAPON brand, known for its popular "ULTIMATE LUMINOUS" capsule toy series that emphasizes "ultimate sculpting x ultimate luminescence," recently unveiled a prototype for its latest product: the "RX-93 ν Gundam" from "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack." A release date has yet to be announced.
The "ULTIMATE LUMINOUS" series, which has previously released fan-favorite items like the RX-78 Series Gundam and Zaku II, boasts impressive color applications, intricate part separation, and detailed sculpting for a capsule toy. Once assembled, these non-articulated models stand approximately 10 cm tall. The series also includes building models. Both the mobile suits and buildings feature built-in LED lighting units, allowing head cameras, windows, and other parts to illuminate, creating more immersive display scenes.
GASHAPON has currently only revealed the "ν Gundam" prototype itself, along with the same hangar interior wall seen in previous releases. The ν Gundam is posed holding its Beam Rifle and Shield, showcasing rich armor details and faithfully reproducing Amuro Ray's personal emblem on its shoulder and shield. When lit, its main and sub head cameras and chest vents will illuminate. However, the ν Gundam's signature Fin Funnels, typically mounted on its back, are not visible in this prototype.
