Japanese toy company Kotobukiya today announced a 10th-anniversary commemorative product from "The Avengers" film: the "Iron Man Mark 7 -AVENGERS-" 1/6 scale pre-painted statue, joining their ARTFX line! This impressive piece is slated for release in September 2022.
The Iron Man Mark 7, which first debuted in "The Avengers" movie, was Tony Stark's latest combat-engineered Iron Man suit. It significantly outperformed the previous Mark 6 in every aspect, featuring a circular arc reactor (reverting from the Mark 6's triangular design) and substantially enhanced overall firepower. Notably, it could transform from a compact Suit Pod into a full humanoid armor. Fans vividly remember Tony's dramatic, last-minute suiting up mid-air after Loki threw him from Stark Tower, thanks to the pre-worn deployment bracelet. The Mark 7 remains a truly iconic suit for many collectors.
Standing approximately 32 cm tall, this piece captures Tony in his Mark 7 battle armor, fists clenched in a combat-ready pose. It faithfully reproduces every detail of the iconic red and gold armor, from the intricate panel lines and sharp contours to its impressive metallic heft. Viewed from the side, the suit's imposing bulk and power are truly evident! The head sculpt is particularly outstanding, meticulously capturing actor Robert Downey Jr.'s facial features and his character's essence from the film.
