With Season 2 of the hit anime "ULTRAMAN" now streaming on Netflix, Bandai Spirits' TAMASHII NATIONS division is turning up the heat with a new reveal for its popular 『S.H.Figuarts』 action figure line. Making his debut from the second season is the fiery new hero, Ultraman Suit Taro -the Animation-, scheduled for release in September 2022.
The Ultraman Suit Taro is a specialized set of armor created by the alien Yapool for Kotaro Higashi, with its design based on the legendary Ultraman Taro. In the series, Kotaro is a photographer in New York who gains superhuman abilities from a mysterious drug. He decides to become a superhero to protect people, but after a tragic accident claims his best friend, he awakens a dangerous, uncontrollable pyrokinetic power. This suit not only allows Kotaro to stabilize and utilize his abilities but also serves to suppress his volatile flame-based powers from going berserk.
Standing at approximately 170mm tall, the S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Suit Taro -the Animation- figure is a faithful recreation of its anime design. The sharp, detailed armor is molded in ABS plastic and features a brilliant metallic red and silver finish, giving it a premium, weighty feel. Accessories include multiple interchangeable hands, dynamic flame effect parts, and the "Suit Transporter" device, which is modeled after the original live-action hero's transformation item. These allow for a wide range of combat poses, taking full advantage of the figure's incredible articulation.
As a special bonus, this set also includes parts for the separately sold S.H.Figuarts Ultraman -the Animation- figure: the iconic Ultra Slash effect part and a dedicated hand piece to wield it!
