Luxembourg's premier statue artisans at Tsume-Art, renowned for their incredible anime and manga creations, have just unveiled their latest masterpiece from the "HQS Dioramax" line. Straight from the world of "Dragon Ball Z" comes the massive "Trunks' Time Machine" 1/6 scale diorama statue! Pre-orders are live, with an estimated shipping window between Q3 2023 and Q1 2024.
While Earth's warriors were locked in a desperate struggle against Androids 17 and 18, a new evil was quietly emerging in a remote corner of the planet. Responding to a report of a "mysterious flying object," Bulma, Trunks, and Gohan discover a time machine identical to the one Trunks pilots. This one, however, arrived from an even more distant future and landed on Earth a full year before Trunks did. Inside, they find a bizarre eggshell-like object, and nearby, the shed husk of a monstrous creature...
This epic diorama is based on that very scene from "Dragon Ball Z," capturing all of its mystery and suspense. Standing at an impressive 65 cm tall, the statue recreates the moss-covered time machine, long abandoned in the wilderness. A wary Trunks, struck by an ominous premonition, looks upon the word "HOPE" that he himself had written. The sculpt for Trunks features a sharp, intense gaze, perfectly capturing his lavender hair, Capsule Corp. branded jacket, and signature yellow boots. The time machine itself is loaded with detail, from the hole melted through the canopy by intense heat to the aged interior equipment and the cracked eggshell within.
On the other side of the rocky diorama base, collectors will find the shed skin of Imperfect Cell. The Tsume-Art team has applied a masterful paint job, bringing the husk to life with a disturbingly realistic insectoid texture. Its semi-translucent quality and lifelike color gradients make it look as if Cell has just recently molted, perfectly matching its appearance in the manga and anime. The entire piece brilliantly encapsulates the suspenseful build-up to Cell's terrifying debut.
