Hong Kong-based toy brand Flame Toys, known for its extensive range of Transformers action figures and model kits, is set to release a new entry in its high-end die-cast action figure line, Kuro Kara Kuri. The highly anticipated Rodimus Prime from Transformers is slated for a December 2022 launch.
The character of Hot Rod (also known as Rodimus) first appeared as the protagonist in the 1986 animated film "The Transformers: The Movie." Initially known as "Hot Rod," the name gradually shifted to Rodimus due to Hasbro's licensing considerations. Upon receiving the "Matrix of Leadership," he transforms into the more powerful Rodimus Prime. His iconic line from the movie, "Light Our Darkest Hour!", remains a fan favorite.
This Kuro Kara Kuri Rodimus Prime from Flame Toys stands approximately 21cm tall. Its striking and dynamic design is based on his appearance in the 2012 comic series "The Transformers: More than Meets the Eye." True to the Kuro Kara Kuri line's reputation, this figure boasts exceptional articulation, allowing for a wide range of powerful poses, including dynamic kneeling stances.
This Kuro Kara Kuri Rodimus Prime features interchangeable armor, allowing collectors to display him in both his Hot Rodimus form and his fully powered Rodimus Prime state. The Rodimus Prime design draws inspiration from his look in the 2009 comic series "The Transformers Ongoing." For added impact, built-in LED light-up features are integrated into the eyes, chest plate, and shoulders, enhancing his powerful presence when illuminated.
The figure comes packed with a generous array of accessories. It includes four interchangeable face plates and six sets of alternate hand parts, along with a dedicated display stand. For weaponry, Rodimus Prime is equipped with his signature rifle, two short pistols, a beam gun blade (with two types of effect parts), a transformable fishing rod weapon, and an energy bow, offering a wide variety of display options.
