Bandai's Gashapon brand, known for its universal joint system and endless customization options, recently announced an exciting new addition to its Mobile Suit Ensemble capsule toy series. From "Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory," the highly anticipated "EX40 Gundam Prototype 3 Dendrobium" is slated for release in September 2022.
The RX-78GP03 Gundam Prototype 3 Dendrobium is a colossal mobile weapon developed as part of the "Gundam Development Project," a joint venture between the Earth Federation Forces and Anaheim Electronics. Designed for defending vital space strongholds, this unit utilizes the "Gundam Prototype 3 Stamen" as its core control unit. It mounts the "Orchis," a massive Mobile Armor-class armament equipped with an I-Field Generator, colossal thrusters, and a plethora of missiles and beam weapons. This formidable combination allows the Dendrobium to achieve unparalleled mobility and devastating firepower in space, truly embodying its nickname as a "mobile arsenal."
The Mobile Suit Gundam MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE EX40 Gundam Prototype 3 Dendrobium boasts an impressive 26 cm length, making it exceptionally massive for the series. Its body colors and various markings are faithfully reproduced through meticulous paint applications and printing, resulting in a powerfully proportioned, low-profile design. The upper missile pods feature opening hatches, revealing intricate internal details. Additionally, the lower sub-arms can be posed deploying massive beam sabers.
Naturally, the core Stamen unit can be separated for individual display and play. It comes equipped with a beam rifle, twin bazookas, a shield, and other armaments. Furthermore, the set includes a beam effect part for the Mega Beam Cannon. This beam effect can connect to the abdomen of the separately sold "Gerbera Tetra," allowing fans to recreate the iconic scene where Cima Garahau is blasted at point-blank range into her cockpit.
