Bandai's Gashapon brand, known for its highly articulated and customizable "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE" capsule toy series, recently announced a massive new addition: the EX41 Neue Ziel. Hailing from "Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory," this highly anticipated release was slated for September 2022.
The AMA-X2 Neue Ziel is a colossal space Mobile Armor (MA) developed by the Zeon remnants who fled to Axis after their defeat, based on plans from the One Year War. During Operation Stardust in UC 0083, it was transferred to the Delaz Fleet and famously piloted by Anavel Gato in the climactic battle against Kou Uraki's Gundam GP03 "Dendrobium." Despite its immense 76.6-meter frame, the Neue Ziel boasts incredibly high mobility, thanks to numerous large thrusters positioned across its body. It's armed with a devastating arsenal, including a Mega Cannon, Deflection Mega Particle Cannons, and Missile Launchers, complemented by an I-Field Generator for beam weapon defense. For close-quarters combat, its auxiliary arms can deploy Beam Sabers, and its main arms conceal wired remote control devices, allowing even non-Newtype pilots to execute all-range attacks.
The "Mobile Suit Gundam MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE EX41 Neue Ziel" stands at an impressive 20 cm tall, making it one of the largest entries in the series. It features a highly detailed sculpt with a distinctive low head-to-body ratio. Through interchangeable parts, collectors can recreate its four hidden mechanical arms, each capable of deploying a Beam Saber, as well as the wired remote weapons housed in its main arms.
Adding an exciting original gimmick, this release features a removable chest armor piece that reveals a hidden Zeon emblem and a High Mobility Zaku II in Gato's signature colors. This design evokes the concept of a core unit controlling the massive MA, much like the Sinanju within the Neo Zeong. The Zaku can also be detached and displayed independently, complete with its shoulder shield and machine gun, offering additional playability.
