Driving out evil with a heart of honor! BANDAI is set to rerelease the long-awaited ARMOR PLUS "Ronin Warriors" Seiji Date of the Halo Special Color Edition in September 2022.

First aired in 1988, "Ronin Warriors" (original Japanese title: Yoroiden Samurai Troopers) is a 39-episode anime series produced by the renowned Sunrise studio. The story follows five protagonists, each possessing unique abilities and titles, who don battle armor known as "Yoroi Gear"—reminiscent of traditional Japanese samurai—to fight against the Evil Dynasty led by Emperor Arago.

Notably, the character and armor designs in "Ronin Warriors" bear a strong resemblance to "Saint Seiya," which aired in 1986. The theme of humans donning armor for battle was highly popular at the time, and "Ronin Warriors" was indeed conceived under the influence of "Saint Seiya," eventually becoming a classic in its own right.
Donning the green Yoroi Gear is Seiji Date of the Halo, whose full name is Seiji Date. Hailing from Miyagi Prefecture, his surname indicates he is a descendant of the famous Sendai warlord Date Masamune. His signature weapon is the Kourin Ken (Halo Sword), and his ultimate attack is the Rai Kou Zan (Thunderbolt Cut), which focuses energy into the blade to strike down enemies with the power of light. After his Super Dynamic Awakening, this technique becomes the Choudandou Rai Kou Zan (Super Dynamic Thunderbolt Cut). He is also known as the "Warrior of Light."
Based on the previous release, this newly rereleased Seiji Date of the Halo Special Color Edition features significantly enhanced facial expressions, with pupils utilizing two-color printing and two interchangeable face parts. The armor's coloring now boasts a more pronounced metallic texture. The iconic Kourin Ken weapon also sees a substantial improvement in its detailing. Additionally, the figure includes three sets of interchangeable hand parts, allowing for a wide range of dynamic poses.
