Japanese model kit manufacturer Kotobukiya has announced the latest collaboration product for its popular "Megami Device" series, which combines mecha and bishoujo plastic model kits. The new item, "Kaneshiya Shitara [Tenki] Ver. Ganesha," is a crossover with the mobile game "Alice Gear Aegis" and is slated for release in October 2022.
The Ganesha Equipment is a dedicated ☆4 gear set for the popular in-game character Kaneshiya Shitara. Designed by renowned mechanical designer Kanetake Ebikawa, its styling incorporates numerous elephant motifs, reflecting Shitara's Indian heritage. It boasts a massive size, heavy armor, and is equipped with powerful armaments like a sniper rifle and a spear. Upon its official product release, this will be the largest and most voluminous item in the Megami Device series to date.
The "Megami Device Kaneshiya Shitara [Tenki] Ver. Ganesha" utilizes the "Tenki" ace combat suit body, which previously appeared in the Light Armament Ver.. This highly articulated Machineca body, designed by Masaki Apsy, features a low-head-to-body ratio, faithfully recreating Shitara's petite and adorable physique. Furthermore, the three pre-painted face parts have been completely redesigned.
The colossal "Ganesha Equipment" has also been updated with a black-based molded color scheme to match the "Tenki" combat suit. It faithfully recreates the imposing rifle, spear, and the EMP Power Arm deployment mechanism. Additionally, seven "Vajra" shaped funnels have been added, allowing collectors to recreate the omnidirectional attack pose of her SP skill, "Deepavali," when combined with a separately sold display stand!
