LEGO has been steadily rolling out its new releases for the second half of 2022 across various lines. This article focuses on the "76217 I am Groot" set, inspired by Marvel Studios' "Infinity Saga"! It's slated for an August 1, 2022 release.
Comprising 476 pieces, this set builds into a highly posable "Baby Groot" model, standing approximately 26 cm (10 inches) tall. The design utilizes a generous amount of brown elements and flat tiles to sculpt the head and body, further enhanced with stickers, small sapling pieces, and leaf elements to give the brick-built figure an authentic tree-like appearance. Beyond the articulated limbs, even the fingers are individually posable, allowing for a wide range of expressive poses. In addition to Groot himself, the set also includes a retro-inspired "Awesome Mix Vol. 2" cassette tape and a display plaque. While the plaque appears to list Groot's various stats, a closer look reveals that his height, weight, and abilities are all hilariously listed as "I am Groot!"
