American toy giant Hasbro has just unveiled the latest addition to its acclaimed "The Black Series" line: the Obi-Wan Kenobi Force FX Elite Lightsaber! Pre-orders are now live on Hasbro Pulse, with an expected ship date of January 1, 2023.
Timed for the release of the latest Star Wars series on Disney+, "Obi-Wan Kenobi," the story is set ten years after the events of "Revenge of the Sith." The Galactic Empire continues its relentless hunt for Jedi across the galaxy. Meanwhile, Obi-Wan has taken refuge on Tatooine to watch over a young Luke Skywalker, all while his former apprentice, Anakin, has fully transformed into the fearsome Sith Lord, Darth Vader.
This new Force FX Elite Lightsaber from Hasbro meticulously recreates Obi-Wan's iconic blue-bladed weapon as seen in the series. Pressing the button activates a variety of sound effects, including power-up and battle clashes, while the blade ignites with a brilliant blue glow. Collectors can also remove the blade to display the highly detailed hilt, which features a stunning metallic finish, on its own. It's a truly awesome piece!
