Following up on our unboxing of the first release in the ARCHECORE line—the pilot Ørn Lodbrok—it's time to dive into the second release: the Kingdom of Veck's colossal weapon, the Arche-Ymirus Prototype 03, codenamed "Frost Light"!
According to the official lore, the Frost Light is the most successful result of the Kingdom of Veck's century-long "Arche-Soldier Revival Project." As giant weapons excavated from ARCHECORE ruins, the Arche-Soldiers possess their own consciousness but can be linked with and remotely controlled by members of the Lodbrok clan, who have special psychic abilities. This makes them powerful and reliable allies on the battlefield. Due to its unique metallic composition, the Frost Light's exterior has been modified to transform into a versatile military truck. It earned its name because the mech emits a brilliant, pale blue glow when activated, reminiscent of bone-chilling frost. It currently serves as Ørn's personal unit and his most trusted partner in combat.
With the backstory covered, let's get to the figure itself. Designed to accommodate the 1/35 scale pilot figure, the vehicle mode is roughly the size of a Transformers Leader Class toy. The figure incorporates a substantial amount of die-cast alloy alongside high-quality composite plastics, giving it a satisfying heft and a solid in-hand feel. The robot's joints are incredibly robust, and with over 30 points of articulation, it's exceptionally playable. Included accessories are a Frost Hammer, a Frost Shield, and two combat knives. Not only can the figure hold them, but they can also be cleverly stored in both robot and vehicle modes. The tampo-printed markings and paint applications are top-notch. Let's explore the finer details in the photos below!

↓The box. I'm a big fan of the medieval-style scroll background!

↓The Frost Light, standing tall!

↓The head sculpt features twin horns and a Japanese-inspired faceplate, creating a very unique look.

↓The neck has an excellent range of motion for looking up and down. If you disengage the locking point, it can tilt back almost 180 degrees.

↓The shoulder joints can be raised for dynamic, aggressive poses.

↓It also features a forward butterfly joint. The die-cast material and ratchet joints provide outstanding stability.

↓The combination of the elbow and forearm joints allows for a deep bend.

↓The wrist can also pivot outward, perfect for wielding the combat knives.

↓Thanks to the transformation engineering, the wrist can also bend this way.

↓The hands feature fully articulated fingers, as shown here.

↓The palm has a peg for securely gripping weapons. The designers even thoughtfully added grooves inside the fingers for extra stability!

↓The waist has a full swivel.

↓By unlocking the tab on the lower back...

↓...you can engage a deep forward ab crunch!

↓The die-cast hip joints feel incredibly solid and satisfying.

↓High kicks are no problem.

↓The knees are double-jointed for a fantastic range of motion!

↓The ankle pivot is slightly hindered by the wheels, but still offers good ground contact.

↓The exhaust pipes on the side of the calves are also die-cast parts.

↓The thrusters on the back of the calves can be extended.

↓The combat knives can be stored on the front of the shins.

↓The Frost Hammer features a spring-loaded, piston-like mechanism.

↓The Frost Shield can be held in hand or attached to the outside of the forearm via a dedicated connector.

↓It can also be stored on the back using a special peg.

↓After mounting the shield, the hammer can be attached to it for a fully equipped look!

↓Arche-Soldier, activate!

↓With its extensive articulation, you can pull off all sorts of powerful and dynamic poses with a little tweaking.

↓If you've got a round shield, you have to try this pose! XD

↓Pairing it with the first release, Ørn Lodbrok, really brings the display to life!

↓Vehicle Mode - Military Truck. The transformation engineering is excellent, with all the tabs and slots aligning perfectly. The combination of plastic and die-cast is well-suited for the process, and it doesn't feel like anything is going to break.

↓The white stripes on the truck body are printed on.

↓A mini missile pod can be opened on top of the driver's cab.

↓The combat knives are stored in the same location as in robot mode.

↓The Frost Hammer is cleverly stored at the rear of the truck.

↓The shield can also be attached, allowing for complete weapon storage.

↓Of course, the integration with the pilot figure is the main play feature of this series. The cockpit has multiple doors and windows that can be opened.

↓Using the peg on the figure's back, the pilot can be seated securely inside!

↓"No time to explain, get in!"

↓"Roll out!!!!!!"
