Japanese model manufacturer Kaiyodo has officially announced the launch of its brand-new capsule plastic model kit series, "ARTPLA." The inaugural release will feature the popular manga and anime series "Yuru Camp△," offering 1/24 scale plastic model kits of the four main characters and a wealth of camping accessories from the show!

"ARTPLA" is a plastic model kit series sold in capsule toy format, embodying Kaiyodo's long-standing philosophy of "model artification" since its inception. It also draws inspiration from the PLAMOKEI (プラモケイ) GK (Garage Kit) series that captivated the Japanese model scene in the 1980s. The new line aims to connect Kaiyodo's past, present, and future, not only by releasing models based on current popular works and themes but also by reissuing classic Kaiyodo GK masterpieces. Moving forward, ARTPLA will uphold Kaiyodo's spirit, much like a museum or art gallery, by offering a diverse range of products spanning various fields, including Buddhist statues, sci-fi mecha, character figures, animals, dinosaurs, art, yokai, tanks, and cultural artifacts.

Turning our attention to the debut product, the "ARTPLA Yuru Camp△" series includes kits for the four main characters: Kagamihara Nadeshiko, Shima Rin, Oogaki Chiaki, and Inuyama Aoi, along with various camping gear featured in the series. All figures are sculpted in the same 1/24 scale and boast intricate detailing, allowing fans to recreate the charming and heartwarming camping scenes from the show.
It's important to note that these models come as unpainted, unassembled plastic kits (character molding color: light orange; item molding colors: orange/light blue). Assembly with model glue and painting are required to complete them. The kits also include water-slide decals featuring various patterns for eyebrows, eyes, mouths, food, and item details for added customization!
Furthermore, a variety of products spearheaded by renowned Kaiyodo sculptor Shinobu Matsumura are currently in development. More information is expected to be revealed at the "60th Shizuoka Hobby Show," which begins on May 11th.
