Japanese toy company SpiceSeed (スパイスシード), renowned for its high-quality figures, is re-releasing the "Conqueror of the Century's End" Raoh "Heavenly Ascent Ver. Original Color" pre-painted figure. This follows their popular releases of Kenshiro, Rei, and Raoh from the iconic *Fist of the North Star* series. The figure will be available for pre-order starting May 21, 2022, priced at 79,800 JPY.
Raoh, the Ken-Oh, is a pivotal and imposing character in *Fist of the North Star*. As the eldest of the four Hokuto brothers, he trained alongside the protagonist Kenshiro under Ryuken, the master of Hokuto Shinken. Bound by Hokuto Shinken's "one successor" rule, Raoh's immense ambition ultimately prevented him from being chosen as the heir. In his pursuit of power, he killed his master Ryuken, declared himself the Ken-Oh, and set his sights on conquering the heavens. He amassed a formidable army, relentlessly conquering territories, and became the feared "Conqueror of the Century's End," an undefeated legend whose name struck terror into all.
▼ A classic scene from the manga
The "SpiceSeed Raoh Heavenly Ascent Ver. Original Color" figure is inspired by one of the most legendary and iconic scenes from *Fist of the North Star* (specifically, "Legend of Raoh: Fierce Fight Chapter"). It captures the moment Raoh, having abandoned his tyrannical ambitions and accepted defeat, raises his fist to the sky and declares, "I have no regrets in my entire life!" This anime and manga masterpiece moment serves as the figure's design inspiration.
Master sculptor Ken Matsuura, a heavyweight in the industry, was responsible for the character's sculpt. Standing at an impressive 42 cm tall, the figure features colors faithful to the original manga. It meticulously captures Raoh's expression of no regrets, his powerful musculature, skin texture, and even bulging veins, perfectly recreating the Ken-Oh's overwhelming presence.
▼ The previously emphasized anatomical details are rendered less prominently with the original color application.
