Hong Kong designer toy brand Kaiju One (壹工房) has secured official licensing from Dynamic Planning to release their Japanese robot sofubi, the "Steel Jeeg" (鋼鉄ジーグ). This iconic mecha is set to debut in a brand-new clear version (クリアーVer.) as part of the "DV50" special project, celebrating the 50th anniversaries of "Devilman" and "Mazinger Z"! The figure was scheduled for release on May 28, 2022, at Japan's unique gallery, Hakaba Gallery (墓場の画廊), and its ONLINE STORE.

Created by Go Nagai, Tatsuya Yasuda, and Dynamic Planning, "Steel Jeeg" tells the story of Hiroshi Shiba, who was transformed into a cyborg through secret surgery and bears the responsibility of fighting against the enemies of the Jamada Kingdom. Hiroshi can transform into Steel Jeeg's head by striking his fists together, and then magnetically connect with the remaining body parts to form the giant robot Steel Jeeg! Steel Jeeg can unleash the "Jeeg Beam," launch the "Knuckle Bomber" from his clasped hands, and execute the powerful "Jeeg Breaker," a hard-hitting technique where he magnetically attracts enemies and crushes them in a tight embrace.
The Kaiju One-produced "Steel Jeeg Sofubi" stands approximately 15 cm tall. While retaining Steel Jeeg's distinctive head sculpt and intricate chest and abdomen details, it reinterprets the mecha in a charming, super-deformed (SD) proportion. This gives it a completely different style, maintaining its super robot essence while adding a playful touch. The clear version debuting for the "DV50" project features a truly stunning paint application! Despite the hard-hitting theme of a super robot, it exudes a light, effervescent feel, much like a carbonated drink. Combined with its inherently cute appearance, the overall figure becomes even more engaging and fun!
