BANDAI SPIRITS' TAMASHII NATIONS, the division behind the highly popular METAL ROBOT Damashii series known for its metallic finishes and die-cast frames, has officially announced its latest release, the Gundam Deathscythe Hell (TV Ver.). Alongside this reveal, the company also confirmed that another iconic Mobile Suit from "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing," the "Altron Gundam (TV Ver.)," is currently in development.
The Altron Gundam is an upgraded and modified version of Chang Wufei's beloved Shenlong Gundam. After the original unit was captured by OZ, the five Gundam scientists secretly enhanced and refined it. The primary focus of these enhancements was to adapt the Mobile Suit for space combat. This included the addition of a pair of movable wings equipped with thrusters on its back, significantly boosting its cosmic mobility. Both arms were redesigned to transform into Dragon Fangs, and the flamethrower units were increased from two to four. Furthermore, its Beam Glaive was modified into a Beam Trident, resulting in a substantial increase in overall firepower.
While specific product details for the "METAL ROBOT Damashii Altron Gundam (TV Ver.)" will be announced at a later date, collectors can eagerly anticipate how this figure, with its signature die-cast frame and rich paint applications, will faithfully recreate the transformation mechanism of its dual Dragon Fangs.
