Jin Guang Puppet Show IP Enters the TCG Arena with "GoldCardGO," Launching May 18
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the legendary Shi Yan Wen, the Jin Guang Puppet Show franchise is expanding into a new realm. "GoldCardGO," a brand-new trading card game officially licensed by Jin Guang and independently developed by "Special Research Division I," a dedicated team within Shanshan Technology, is set to launch on the official PC home online store on May 18th.

"GoldCardGO" is a new TCG that brings the epic world of the Jin Guang Puppet Show to the tabletop. The game features a massive roster of fan-favorite characters spanning 15 different series, from the classic "The Black and White Dragon" all the way to the latest 2022 installment, "Demon Calamity of the Nine Realms." Get ready for an all-star showdown!
Card Designs Faithful to the Source Material
To ensure authenticity, each card's skills and effects are designed to reflect the character's unique abilities and personality from the show. The card art also perfectly captures the heroes' most iconic and dynamic poses. The gameplay is crafted to deliver the thrill of strategic battles between master tacticians, aiming to turn fans of the puppet saga into dedicated TCG players, and TCG players into new fans of the saga.
"GoldCardGO" Starter Decks Revealed
To help new players jump right into the action, specially designed Starter Decks will be available at launch. These pre-constructed decks are ready to play right out of the box. Each set includes a 50-card starter deck, a two-page rulebook, and two exclusive Strategist cards.
"GoldCardGO" Booster Boxes Announced
Each booster box contains 20 booster packs. Every pack includes 7 cards, with one guaranteed foil card. Lucky players may even find a rare, full-art, hot-stamped foil card!
A First Look at Hero Cards
Hero Cards are divided into four major categories: "Shen Feng," "Jing Lei," "Po Mo," and "Zhi Shui." They also feature different effect types and rarities.
"Normal Summon"
These cards have no special effects. The description box features background story and lore for the character.
"Enter Play Effect"
When this Hero is played from your hand to the preparation zone, you can choose to trigger its described effect.
"Activated Effect"
These effects can be used when the specified conditions are met. After using the effect, if the Hero is still in the battle zone, it is turned sideways (tapped).
"Passive Effect"
As long as this Hero is on the field, its effect is active.
"Summoning Condition"
The conditions described must be met before this Hero can be played to the preparation zone.
Each Hero Card also provides a certain amount of "Formation Value" when played:
When a Hero is played from your hand to the preparation zone, you gain the amount of Formation Value indicated on the card.
(Kiriyama Kaoru is a Po Mo category Hero with an Enter Play effect and provides 4 Formation Value.)
A First Look at Radiance Cards
Radiance Cards function like spell cards. You must spend the required amount of Formation Value shown on the card to activate its effect, making them an indispensable tool for any strategy.
(The "Betrayer's Alliance" card requires 5 Formation Value to activate.)
A First Look at Strategist Cards
A Strategist Card can only be activated once per game. When you find yourself in a losing position, you can activate its primary effect by meeting its conditions. You can also spend the additional Formation Value listed on the card to unleash a powerful second effect that can turn the entire game around. These cards are a crucial component of any deck, but you can only include one Strategist Card per deck.
