Following the release of the line's first kit, Lumitea, Japanese model maker Kotobukiya has officially announced the second entry in its new bishoujo model kit series, "Arcanadea": the devil-themed Velretta! She is scheduled for release in November 2022.
"Arcanadea" is a plastic model kit series that blends sci-fi and fantasy themes. The world is set in the near future, where Eden Industries has created the wildly popular virtual space server "Eden" using a newly discovered next-generation energy source called "Arcana Particles." Within this server, the fantasy-themed VRMMO "Arcanadea" has gained immense popularity.
However, a mysterious explosion at Eden Industries scatters "Arcana Crystals" across the globe, triggering cataclysmic events. These crystals not only cause strange phenomena worldwide but also bring forth "DEARS"—unknown life forms from another world possessing incredible powers. These fantasy creature-like "DEARS" are divided into two types: those who harm humans and those who can coexist peacefully. In response, Eden Industries begins recruiting "DEAR MASTERS" who can partner with harmless DEARS to collect the scattered Arcana Crystals.
The second release, Velretta, is also based on an original character design by the popular illustrator necömi. In contrast to the angel-themed Lumitea, Velretta is a cute and mischievous little devil. Her revealing base body combines organic aesthetics with impressive articulation, perfectly capturing her slender and beautiful curves. In addition to a special pull-out joint structure in her knees, her wings, tail, and even the hair on the sides of her head and her skirt are all articulated, allowing for incredibly natural and lively poses.
The kit comes with four pre-printed face parts, and you can create your own custom expressions using the included waterside decals. Her pointed ear parts are also interchangeable with other characters in the series, offering even more customization options. By equipping her armor parts, you can recreate her combat mode, giving her a more magnificent appearance. This mode features additional demonic wings, armored side skirts, and a massive lance. These weapon parts can also be combined to form a parasol for a different display option.
