TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS, announced today that the protagonist mobile suit "Gundam Aerial" from the new Gundam anime series "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury" will join the "ROBOT Damashii ver. A.N.I.M.E." action figure line, with an anticipated release in November 2022.
The highly anticipated new anime series, "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury," is set to premiere in October 2022. The "Gundam Aerial" is the mobile suit piloted by protagonist Suletta Mercury. Its design bears a resemblance to the "Gundam Lfrith," developed by the Vanadis Institute in the prequel. In addition to its Beam Saber and Beam Rifle armaments, it also utilizes GUND Format technology, allowing its shield to separate into 11 Gund-Bits that can function as remote weapons.
The "ROBOT Damashii ver. A.N.I.M.E." series, known for its exceptional articulation and anime-accurate designs, brings this next-generation Gundam protagonist suit to life with years of accumulated sculpting and articulation expertise. The figure features intricate armor layering and details, complemented by rich paint applications and clear parts. Its flexible multi-joint mechanisms allow for a wide range of dynamic battle poses, including the iconic kneeling stance seen in the main visual.
Accessories include four pairs of interchangeable hands, a spare head antenna, the Beam Rifle, Beam Saber effect parts, and the shield. A large Beam Blade effect part for the Beam Rifle, first revealed during the prequel's premiere, is also included. The shield can disassemble into 11 individual parts, which can be attached to the shoulders and rear waist as thrusters, or displayed as Gund-Bits in their firing configuration using the included clear display stands.
