BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Division is set to release a new robot action figure from their "HI-METAL R" series: the transformable VF-0S Phoenix (フェニックス), the custom machine piloted by Roy Focker (ロイ・フォッカー) from the popular series "Macross Zero"! This highly anticipated figure is scheduled for release in October 2022.
"Macross Zero" (マクロスゼロ), released in 2002, is an OVA series that commemorates the 20th anniversary of the classic "Macross" franchise. Serving as a prequel to the original "Macross," it delves into the "Unification Wars" mentioned in the first series, a conflict where humanity battled over alien technology. The story follows U.N. Spacy fighter pilot Shin Kudo as he becomes embroiled in a major struggle to recover ancient alien artifacts.
This HI-METAL R VF-0S Phoenix (Roy Focker Custom) faithfully recreates Roy Focker's iconic machine from the series, complete with its distinctive skull and crossbones emblem. The VF-0S's signature three transformation modes are, of course, perfectly reproduced thanks to the figure's excellent engineering. The set comes with a rich assortment of accessories, including a miniature pilot figure, four sets of interchangeable hands, a dedicated display stand (featuring Roy's name), weapon accessories, and interchangeable wing parts.
