LEGO Technic today (the 24th) unveiled its latest supercar-themed set, the "42143 Ferrari Daytona SP3"! It is scheduled for release on June 1, 2022.
Comprising 3,778 pieces, this 1/8 scale model meticulously recreates the elite "Ferrari Daytona SP3." Once assembled, the car measures an impressive 59 cm long. Beyond its ultra-low chassis, faithfully reproduced wheels, and the iconic yellow-and-black Prancing Horse logo on a printed round tile, the exaggerated front and rear sections are stunning. The functional butterfly doors are incredibly cool! Playability features include front-wheel steering linked to the steering wheel, button-activated butterfly door opening, a highly detailed V12 engine with moving pistons, a gearbox with paddle shifters, and working suspension. These elements maximize the fun of experiencing the interconnectedness of Technic components.
In addition to the fantastic car itself, the set includes a display plaque and a unique serial number hidden under the hood, which unlocks exclusive online content. The lift-top packaging box also makes for a great collector's item! Furthermore, LEGO has released a limited edition book, "The Sense of Perfection," with only 5,000 copies available.
