Following the release of Ultraman Leo, Bandai Spirits' Tamashii Nations, a division dedicated to collectible toys, recently announced the upcoming release of Leo's twin brother, Ultraman Astra, joining the popular S.H.Figuarts action figure series. This highly anticipated figure is slated for an October 2022 launch.
The S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Astra figure is sculpted with the cooperation of Tsuburaya Productions' LSS sculpting division, faithfully recreating his suit from the show as a 15cm tall action figure. Key details include his iconic silver and red body, streamlined head sculpt with clear eye parts, and the distinctive leg rings with chains. As is customary for the series, the chest Color Timer can be swapped between blue and red states.
For articulation, Astra utilizes the same base body as Leo, and comes with five pairs of interchangeable hands to recreate various dynamic martial arts poses. The figure's accessories are particularly exciting, including the "Ultra Key," one of the Land of Light's two great treasures and an incredibly powerful energy weapon. Also included are effect parts to recreate the brothers' signature combination attack, the "Ultra Double Flasher"!
