BENELIC Co., Ltd., the Japanese company responsible for operating products at the main Ghibli specialty store "Acorn Republic," will release a pre-painted statue of the old dog "Heen" from "Howl's Moving Castle" as part of its "Found! (Mi~tsuketa!)" series, which emphasizes substantial size and exquisite sculpting! The suggested retail price is 44,000 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in mid-August 2022!
The animated film "Howl's Moving Castle," directed by Hayao Miyazaki, is based on the novel "Howl's Moving Castle" by British fantasy author Diana Wynne Jones. More than 15 years have passed since its release in 2004. The story is set in a magical 19th-century European world, where a moving castle appears in the Kingdom of Speria... Among its popular characters are the moving castle itself, which crawls on mechanical legs like a giant robot, the male protagonist Howl, the female protagonist Sophie, Howl's apprentice Markl, the moving castle's power source - Calcifer, and the old dog Heen.
Madam Suliman's messenger dog, Heen, also joins the "Found!" series! This energetic old dog is crafted to approximately 28 cm in height and 48 cm in width – a substantial size that makes it seem as if it has stepped right out of the film! The vividly sculpted fur and the expression that seems to see through everything, combined with its light-footed pose, make it appear to be scurrying quickly underfoot. Display it in your home's hallway, entryway, or living room, and a sudden glance is sure to bring a sense of healing! It's just like recreating a movie scene ♥
