Japanese capsule toy manufacturer TOYS CABIN Co. (株式会社トイズキャビン) has partnered with Japanese modeling studio イワシ金属化 (@nagiasa61) to release a hardcore yet romantic new capsule toy, the "Crab Tank" (tentative translation, ガトリングガニ コレクション), in September 2022!
イワシ金属化 excels at creating works based on marine life, including reproducing various crustaceans like shrimp and crabs using metal materials, metal cutlery sets combining dried fish with spoons, and crab tanks equipped with various heavy machine gun armaments. This "Crab Tank" capsule toy, commercialized by TOYS CABIN, boasts an impressive size of 9.5 cm. Not only does it feature 12 points of articulation, but its claws can also open and close freely. However, the most captivating aspect is the synergistic visual effect created by the combination of the biologically-inspired gradient-colored carapace and the mechanical feel of the Gatling gun, resulting in a design with a strong sci-fi aesthetic and abundant hardcore romance!
This product comes in four collectible variations: Amber Red (アンバーレッド), Burn Red (バーンレッド), Dark Green (ダークグリーン), and Army Green (アーミーグリーン). We hope to see イワシ金属化's T55 Crab Tank, Anti-Aircraft Shamefaced Crab, and other designs also get the capsule toy treatment in the future!
