Produced by Japan's PLEX Corporation and distributed by X-PLUS Corporation, the monster soft vinyl figure series 'Toho Large Monsters', which features monsters from Toho films, recently announced the latest product from 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters', 'King Ghidorah (2019)', scheduled for release in November 2022. This product will be available in a standard edition and a limited edition sold exclusively at official stores.
Appearing in 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters', King Ghidorah is a monster known as 'MONSTER ZERO', who invaded Earth from space billions of years ago and later slumbered in the Antarctic ice. All three of his heads possess independent wills and personalities, and he boasts powerful regenerative abilities and the largest size in his history. He can unleash wide-ranging gravity beams from his mouths, wings, and tails, and his surrounding environment generates typhoon-like downpours and lightning phenomena.
The 'Toho Large Monsters King Ghidorah (2019)' boasts a massive size with a total height of 39 cm and a wingspan of 66 cm. It sculpts King Ghidorah in a powerful, intimidating pose with wings spread, as if confronting Godzilla. The intricate details of its musculature, skin, and scales are rendered with a highly biological feel, and each of its three heads displays a different expression: glaring, roaring, and flicking its tongue.
The limited edition, sold exclusively at the official store 'Shonen RIC', features a built-in light-up mechanism. LED lights are embedded in the neck and heads, allowing multiple points on the necks of all three heads and their eyes to emit a yellow glow when lit, recreating King Ghidorah's iconic pose as he prepares to unleash his signature special move, the 'Gravity Beam'!
