Sleek Glossy Black Armor! ROBO-DOU 'Mobile Police Patlabor TYPE-J9 Griffon' Painted Sample First Revealed!

Hong Kong toy brand threezero's robot alloy action figure series, "ROBO-DOU," recently unveiled the painted sample of its latest product from "Mobile Police Patlabor," the "TYPE-J9 Griffon," for the first time at the WonHobbyG 2022 Spring new model exhibition. The release date is undetermined, and pre-orders are expected to open soon.

The TYPE-J9 Griffon is an experimental combat Labor secretly developed by SEJ Tsuchiura Research Institute with the goal of creating the "Strongest Labor." Its most prominent external features are its jet-black body and massive twin horns on its head. Developed without regard for cost, this unit saw immense resources poured into its development, showcasing the pinnacle of technological prowess. Both its power and mobility far surpass those of standard units like the Ingram. Its back can be fitted with a "Flight Unit" for short-duration flight and an "Underwater Unit" for submersion. Its OS also utilizes the unique, highly efficient "ASURA" system, granting it movements as agile as a living creature.

The "ROBO-DOU TYPE-J9 Griffon" has invited Mr. Yutaka Izubuchi, who was responsible for the mechanical design, to supervise its production. It is produced in the same 1/35 scale as previous Mobile Police Patlabor series products. The overall design faithfully reproduces the sharp and refined image from the anime. Its smooth armor is finished with a high-gloss black coating, and the joints are recreated with fabric covering.
