BANDAI Co., Ltd.'s GASHAPON division in Japan will re-release the classic original series "FROG STYLE" gashapon, which first debuted in 2002! After many years, the commemorative "FROG STYLE COLLECTION 20th ANNIVERSARY" makes its return, featuring a total of 9 designs. Each gashapon will have a suggested retail price of 300 JPY (a nostalgic thought to when it was only 30 TWD per turn...), and is scheduled for release in June 2022!
BANDAI Toys launched its first original series developed specifically for gashapon toys in 2002, "FROG STYLE," also known as Furokko. Designed by Tomoko Kanewaki, the lead designer of the FROG STYLE team, these frogs feature plump bellies and short little hands as their prototype. While maintaining a consistent size, each frog is given different expressions and symbolic meanings. Every frog has its own name, habitat, personality, "love message," suitable recipient, and other rich and interesting settings, accumulating over 300 different designs. Within three years of its launch, 20,000,000 gashapon were sold in Japan, making it the original star of the gashapon world! It also sparked a gashapon collecting craze in Taiwan!
The 20th-anniversary "FROG STYLE COLLECTION 20th ANNIVERSARY" gashapon allows the versatile frogs to make up for their absence over the years, re-introducing 9 new designs!
