Chinese toy manufacturer "Earnestcore Craft" (EARNESTCORE CRAFT), following the release of "Gustav" based on "Maschinen Krieger (Ma.K)" created by Japanese sci-fi military maestro Hiroshi Yokoyama, will launch a new color version of the "Gustav" (グスタフ) 1/16 scale articulated figure in September 2022, commemorating [[OBJ_1108]]'s 40th anniversary! It will also be distributed by Japanese model manufacturer [[OBJ_687]].
"Ma.K," the original SF series by Hiroshi Yokoyama, is set in the 29th century. Earth has been devastated by the Fourth World Nuclear War, practically becoming a dead planet. However, two factions still vie for supremacy over this land: the "Strahl Republic" and the "Earth Independent Government Mercenary Army." The rich array of toys and models derived from the combat armor and vehicles used by both sides has attracted a vast number of sci-fi military enthusiasts. This time's protagonist, "Gustav," is a P.K.A. series power suit belonging to the Strahl Republic Army (シュトラール共和国軍), an improved model created to enhance the P.K.A.'s individual combat capability on the ground.
The "Gustav," reappearing in a red and black color scheme, stands approximately 14 cm tall. In addition to the special 40th-anniversary logo and numbering for "Ma.K" from 1982-2022 visible on the top and shoulder armor, the heat-sensitive color change from red to orange is a major highlight! Furthermore, charming features such as the fabric-covered joint design, extensive articulation, and realistic weathering effects are all fully preserved. Accessories include a rocket launcher, an excimer laser (エクサイマーレーザー) emitter attachable to the left arm, detailed replacement parts, an additional pilot head part, and multiple interchangeable hands. Coupled with the LED light-up function in the chest, it offers an even more immersive play experience!
▼ This time, a transfer decal commemorating Ma.K's 40th anniversary has also been added.
