Satisfy Your Love for Shooting! J.DREAM Arcade Light Gun Shooting Game Machine Gashapon Toy

Do you miss the shooting arcade machines of the past? Japanese gashapon toy maker J.DREAM is releasing a gashapon toy based on the concept of the arcade shooting game cabinet, a common sight in arcades. It is scheduled to be released in August 2022.

The biggest difference between arcade games and home consoles is that some types of arcade machines can always provide a more immersive and realistic gaming experience. Light gun shooting arcade machines are a classic example. In the early days, home consoles had relatively low hardware capabilities, and arcade machines with impressive sound and light effects and realistic gun controllers often captivated players.

One of the most iconic early arcade shooting games was "Operation Wolf". Players could use the machine's submachine gun controller to spray bullets at enemies on screen, which was incredibly satisfying. Later, games like SEGA's "Virtua Cop" and "The House of The Dead" emerged, offering not only more realistic graphics but also engaging gameplay.

This gashapon toy by J.DREAM miniaturizes real-life arcade shooting game machines. It comes in two main types: Type A features a gun controller directly mounted on the machine, resembling early game cabinets like "Operation Wolf". Type B has a handgun on each side, connected to the machine via cables. Famous games like "Time Crisis" or "The House of The Dead" belong to this type of machine. There are a total of five variations. Friends who love mini arcade game machines might want to check them out.
