Japanese high-end collectible manufacturer CoolProps recently unveiled a monumental new release from "RoboCop": the "RoboCop" 1/1 scale life-size bust! Pre-orders are currently open on the CoolProps official website, with an estimated shipping start date in 2023.
In the 1987 film "RoboCop," the protagonist is police officer "Murphy," who had just been transferred to hell (Detroit). While on a mission with his partner to infiltrate a criminal hideout, he was fatally shot. Murphy's remains were later recovered by the mega-corporation Omni Consumer Products (OCP), which transformed him into the half-human, half-machine "RoboCop." Due to lingering memories from his time as Murphy, he still performs his signature move of twirling his gun before holstering it on his right thigh.
This piece stands at an impressive 81 cm, commanding a powerful presence. Crafted from FRP and silicone, it meticulously recreates the silver armor worn by "RoboCop" based on film data and settings. Beyond the heavy metallic texture and delicate blue-purple gradient paint application, the armor's engraved lines, shoulder and back mechanisms, and the striking chest plate all exhibit exceptional sculpting detail! The skin texture of the lower face and the shadows beneath the lips are also realistically rendered, making the overall piece incredibly cool! The base design is inspired by OCP's octagonal logo. Furthermore, a silver nameplate with a limited edition number will be included. This is highly recommended for all "RoboCop" fans!
