"WETA Workshop," the world-renowned film and television special effects company, has announced the latest product from its uniquely styled "Mini Epics" series: the "Vecna" vinyl figure, based on "Stranger Things 4"! Shipping is expected in the first quarter of 2023.
"Vecna," the main antagonist of "Stranger Things 4," originates from one of the most classic villains in "Dungeons & Dragons." He was a powerful undead wizard who was ultimately destroyed, leaving behind only his left eye and left hand. In "Dungeons & Dragons," the "Eye of Vecna," "Hand of Vecna," and the "Book of Vile Darkness" authored by Vecna are all legendary artifacts. In "Stranger Things," Vecna is a terrifying character who invades the vulnerability and darkness within human minds from the Upside Down, killing them in cruel ways.
The "MINI EPICS Vecna" stands approximately 16.6 cm tall, reinterpreted with the series' unique style and proportions. It recreates the shriveled, decaying flesh of the body, but with a glossy, wet-looking finish on the surface, creating a subtle visual effect. Abundant blood can be seen on the mouth, hands, chest, abdomen, and thighs, combined with his menacing glowing eyes and gritted teeth expression, creating an extremely cruel and terrifying atmosphere! The detailing is outstanding, especially the frightening textures on the back, which are remarkably exquisite. However, collecting this figure might require a bit of courage!
