To commemorate the grand reopening of its directly managed flagship store, "TAMASHII NATIONS STORE TOKYO," on June 23, 2022, BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Division, TAMASHII NATIONS, will release the commemorative product "S.H.Figuarts Alien Mefilas 55th Anniversary Ver." from Ultraman on June 21.
"TAMASHII NATIONS STORE TOKYO" was originally located next to Don Quijote Akihabara in Akihabara, Japan, serving as TAMASHII NATIONS' directly managed flagship store for product sales and new item exhibitions. After operating there for three years, the store will relocate next to JR Akihabara Station, simultaneously expanding its size by approximately three times. The store is planned to feature three major areas: the "EVENT ZONE" for special exhibitions, the "NEW ITEM ZONE" for displaying and test-playing new products, and the "SHOP ZONE" for selling limited-edition items. This richer content will allow visitors to enjoy their shopping experience even more!
The "S.H.Figuarts Alien Mefilas 55th Anniversary Ver." is based on the regular version released in 2017. Its sculpt thoroughly reproduces his terrifying, alien-like head, reptilian black skin, and short, stout, full physique. The overall coloring, compared to previous versions, has a more lustrous finish, more closely resembling his appearance in the series. This version specially includes a display stand printed with the Ultraman 55th Anniversary LOGO, as well as Alien Mefilas's spaceship!
