TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectible toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, and publisher of the popular die-cast toy brand "Soul of Chogokin," announced today (16th) its latest products commemorating Go Nagai's 50th anniversary of "Mazinger Z": the "GX-105 Mazinger Z Kakushin" and the "GX-25R & GX-26R Mechanical Beast Set." This article will provide product information for the "GX-25R Garada K7 & GX-26R Doublas M2" Mechanical Beast 2-figure set! It is scheduled for release in January 2023!
In the story of "Mazinger Z," "Garada K7" and "Doublas M2" are mechanical beasts unearthed on Bardos Island. They were also the first two machines dispatched by Dr. Hell to invade the city after eliminating Dr. Juzo Kabuto, wreaking havoc as they advanced towards the Photon Power Laboratory. However, they were quickly defeated by Mazinger Z's Rust Hurricane and Rocket Punch.
Both mechanical beasts in this Renewal version feature new color applications and include new interchangeable parts that are closer to the original design, allowing for the recreation of battle scenes. The "GX-25R Garada K7" not only meticulously sculpts its skull-like head and highly impactful giant scythe, but also faithfully recreates the classic design of detaching the scythe to use as a weapon. The "GX-26R Doublas M2," on the other hand, can achieve more interesting variations by utilizing its neck extension parts. Collectors who missed out before absolutely must get their hands on this set now and bring them home to be ganged up on by their countless Mazinger Z toys!
