Japanese toy brand Kaiyodo's "Amazing Yamaguchi (アメコミヤマグチ)" articulated figure series, known for its astonishing posability, has finally officially announced detailed product information for its latest release from My Hero Academia, "Endeavor" (エンデヴァー). It is scheduled for release in November 2022, with a price of ¥13,000 (excluding tax)!
June 17, 2022 Update:
Endeavor, whose real name is "Enji Todoroki," initially appeared with an arrogant, fierce, and cold demeanor, and was an utterly terrible father. Due to All Might's presence, he had always been the No. 2 Pro Hero. Although he finally ascended to the long-desired No. 1 position after the Kamino Ward incident and All Might's retirement, Endeavor's mindset began to change. He not only asked All Might, "What exactly is the Symbol of Peace...?" but also gradually softened and became more sincere in his attitude towards his family and his supporting fans. Furthermore, in the fierce battle against the High-End Nomu, he displayed his indomitable spirit, fighting relentlessly even when at a disadvantage.
The "Amazing Yamaguchi Endeavor" stands approximately 19 cm tall and features 32 points of articulation throughout its body. Like the "All Might" from the same series, it faithfully recreates the character's muscular physique according to the design, exuding powerful presence just by standing! In addition to the meticulously reproduced form-fitting battle suit, numerous flame and jet effects can be attached to the body. Paired with a stand, you can pose Endeavor in his full-power combat stance. The bright silver shoulder and arm guards showcase a sharp metallic texture, adding further depth to the overall look.
The head sculpts include four expressions: normal, gritting teeth, shouting, and a damaged state from his battle with Nomu. These can be combined with a variety of interchangeable eye parts to recreate various situations. Other accessories include glowing red fists, multiple interchangeable hands, and a cell phone displaying a communication screen. While it might initially seem like his son Shoto left him on read, a closer look reveals there is indeed a conversation!
