Japan's two major toy manufacturers, BANDAI SPIRITS and TAKARA TOMY, today officially announced an unprecedented dream collaboration product, the "Chogokin RZ-041 Liger Zero," expected to be released in 2023.

The two companies have rarely collaborated openly in the past, while maintaining a healthy competitive relationship, especially fierce in children's toys. Whether it's BANDAI's Toei 'Big Three' transformation toys like "Kamen Rider," "Super Sentai," and "Pretty Cure," or TAKARA TOMY's products such as "Pokémon," "TOMICA Mini Cars," "Licca-chan Dolls," and "Shinkalion," their rivalry is often seen on Japan's annual sales charts.

When BANDAI SPIRITS' "Chogokin" alloy toy brand, which has been a bestseller for nearly 50 years, combines with TAKARA TOMY's popular IP "ZOIDS," it will break away from the traditional ZOIDS specification of internal power mechanisms. Instead, it will be produced with a flexible, highly poseable specification using some alloy parts. The Liger Zero will not only boast high-density, extremely mechanical detail, but also be able to strike wild poses reminiscent of real creatures, recreating scenes from the series!

The "Chogokin RZ-041 Liger Zero" is currently only announced for release in 2023. Detailed pricing and product information have not yet been revealed, but a prototype is expected to be publicly exhibited for the first time in late July 2022.
